Hannah Hofer

I grew up in the region of South Tyrol, a place defined by the intersection of Italian and German culture. Growing up between these two worlds has profoundly shaped my work, as I explore themes of identity, belonging, and connection across cultural divides.

Nature is my primary source of inspiration. I am drawn to the organic forms and subtle shapes found in the natural world. Its harmony guides my creative process, as I want to translate these quiet and powerful forms into my work.

Before my ceramic studies, I worked as a primary school teacher, an experience that fostered my interest in social art. I believe that art can serve as a bridge, bringing people together through shared stories, experiences, and emotions.

In my ceramics, I seek to merge the organic with the social, creating pieces that invite personal reflection and communal interaction.

By blending natural forms with human experience, my work aims to foster a sense of connection and belonging, whether it's between people, cultures, or the environment itself.
