I really enjoy making weird things and I think I'm embracing that more and more. I have always struggled a bit with fitting in and being afraid of being too much and too loud, and I'm trying to let go of that through my work. Everything I make is intuitive and I love making things that bring me joy, and that includes gross stuff, strange stuff and things you hold in your hands. I have a big focus on world building and storytelling.
My favorite part of making is, when I allow my imagination to lead the way and when I don't think about an end product but focus on the journey of creating. I want my things to embody that same feeling of finding a really pretty rock on the beach and you just want to keep it in your pocket, or that feeling when you buy an old book with notes written in the margin, but also the feeling you get, when you find yourself in a liminal space or get a really vivid deja vu. I don't know how to describe exactly what or why I make what I make, but these are the words that come to mind.
